Happy Martin Luther King, Jr Day!

Freedom! The dream of every person. Thankful to remember MLK and his wisdom knowing that all people are equal--no matter the color.

Thinking about adding a Chinese little boy to our family, while our family may be labeled a "conspicuous family," I do not see us standing out just because we have different skin tones and eye shape.

Thankful to see past the outward, I see creative variety. Some of us have brown hair, some blonde. Some blue eyes, some brown, and one with green eyes. Hair--we have curls, wavy, straight, and fuzzies.

So creative! So interestingly fun! So like our Creator! To me, I can imagine Heaven being full of people with creative colors and it will be beautiful.

We might stick out when comparing our family to the 2 1/2 kid ratio deemed average in America, but for me, I am not comparing our family to others around us. I am thinking about us in Heaven and seeing that we blend right in.

We are colored people and we live in a painted world. (DC TALK)
